Frequently Asked Questions

There are a few common questions we’ve found clients want to ask us before we get started.

So we’ve done our best to answer the basics below (the one about waxwings can be found here).

 
  • It’s easy! If you’re ready to roll, fill out our Client Introduction form. If we feel like a good fit, that form will give us a jump start on our initial input call. During that call, we’ll get to know each other, talk about your brand and determine what you need. From there, we’ll put together a proposal and contract. After those are reviewed and signed, you’ll receive an invoice for 50% of the total upfront. Once that is paid, the work begins!   • We are very client-centric and expect everyone’s needs to be different, which is why we don’t package our services for a fixed price. However, we do work with you to figure out what the best course of action is for your branding, and can offer discounts when multiple services are batched together.

  • We offer retainers to select clients that we have already a working relationship with. Having a few projects under our belts, shows us how to best work together and if a retainer makes sense for your brand.

  • Depends on what kind of project you’re looking for. Business cards could take about a week but a large website design could take a couple months. If there is something you’re interested in and would like to know the timeline, please reach out. Or, if you need something by a specific date, please let us know upfront so we can try to accommodate that deadline.

  • That's OK! Most clients don’t. And while Waxwing focuses solely on the design of your marketing materials and website, we have partners that can handle the writing for you. These are professionals we work closely with on a regular basis to ensure you receive the same high-level craftsmanship you’d expect from Waxwing. Their service is an additional fee that can be added on during the initiation phase.

  • Yes! Of course. Everyone is on their phones these days. Both our Squarespace and Wordpress sites will be mobile friendly, so your customers can easily access the info they need.

  • We use both Squarespace and Wordpress, depending on your needs and budget.

  • Basic SEO is included in all of our Squarespace designs. Upgraded SEO and Analytics are available for an additional fee. This is the same for our Wordpress sites, as well.

  • If you need a place for members to get special content, ecommerce functionality or the ability to connect your website to your email list, we can do that too. Our goal is to deliver a fully functioning website that meets your needs, whatever those needs may be.

  • If you’re launching a website with us, you’ll have the option to sign on for a monthly website maintenance package. Otherwise, if you’re a print client or do not sign up for monthly maintenance, we’re always an email away!
